How does your media product represent particular social groups?

  1. Very interesting read but layout does not totally work on a blog. Perhaps you could break it up with more images, or a column structure, or even drop caps!

    I think that you need to begin by trying to explain what you think is the stereotypical view of your social group of middle class teenage females, and conclude by exploring whether or not yout think that you have reinfoced or challenged these stereotypical assumptions about them? (Or maybe done a bit of both?). What qualities, interests, behaviours does your represented group have overall according to the way you have represented them, and does this fit in with dominant social view about that group? Are there aspects of the dominant view that you have excluded (eg interest in relationships, dating?). Are there things which you HAVE included which are not normally associated with that group (eg interest in politics or whatever).
